Spoonfed’s lunch and dinner list continued the breakfast approach of grouping food by how you eat it. This summary comes from an archived snapshot. It omits prices and is not the restaurant’s current menu.
With your hands
Sandwiches. Every sandwich came with a choice of crinkle-cut fries and house curry ketchup, pickled vegetables or the house salad. The beef burger used grilled Angus with Gruyère and blue cheese, caramelised onions cooked with bacon and balsamic, heirloom tomato and aioli on a potato bun. A vegan burger used a housemade patty with avocado, jalapeño relish and green hummus. Other choices included a crispy chicken sandwich on brioche, a pulled pork sandwich with watermelon barbecue sauce and Louisiana slaw, a tuna melt on pumpernickel with smoked tomato jam, and a bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato sandwich made with candied bacon.
Flatbreads. Three versions were listed: a simple one with crushed tomato, oregano, chili and mozzarella; one with Italian sausage, mushroom and sweet onion; and a vegetable flatbread with pesto, roasted tomato, spinach and peppers.
A little something
Small plates included a clam dip with housemade potato chips and a pair of beef sliders with blue and Gruyère cheeses.
With a fork
Salads were substantial enough to be a full meal:
- A chopped salad with lemongrass chicken, avocado, grilled corn and artichoke hearts.
- A kale salad with dates, blood orange, grapefruit, feta and spiced walnuts.
- A steak salad with marinated skirt steak, chimichurri vinaigrette and flatbread croutons.
- A house salad of baby greens, candied pumpkin seeds and a shaved broccoli, cucumber and radish slaw.
- A trio of rotating salads chosen from the daily selection.
- A harvest bowl of roasted vegetables and red quinoa.
Grilled Atlantic salmon with parsnip purée, charred broccolini and preserved lemon was the main plate in this group.
With a spoon
The soup list had a chicken noodle soup built on bone broth, served as a cup or a bowl, and a vegan soup that changed daily.
Dietary notes
Gluten-free, vegan and nut markers appeared beside the dishes, and the page said vegan, gluten-free and nut-free variations were available for several items. As on the other menus, there was a general advisory about raw or undercooked animal products. For the morning offering see the breakfast overview, and for drinks see Bar Joe.
